Giving Back
1. Rosendin and 70 construction-related companies recently collaborated to introduce 4,518 students from 122 schools in nine Arizona counties to potential career paths by showcasing new technologies and tools at the 2023 AZ Construction Career Days, presented by the Association for Construction Career Development. For more than 20 years, AZCCD has promoted career opportunities in the construction industry, connecting 40,000 Arizona students to companies and training opportunities. Rosendin participates in and sponsors the event each year to shatter stereotypes and inspire students from all backgrounds to consider a career in construction as a viable option for their future.
2. As part of Salt River Project’s popular shade tree program, more than 3,000 desert-adapted shade trees were handed out to customers this fall at three drive-thru pickup events in October and November. Each SRP customer who attended an online workshop was able to choose up to two, 2-6-foot-tall tree saplings per household. Additional workshops are scheduled in January and February.
