Because of its large project pipeline in the Southwest, including Arizona, California-based concrete building component manufacturer Clark Pacific Corporation is planning to build a new plant in Coolidge to bring its facilities closer to its customers.
Only around 10 employees will relocate from California, meaning the plant will provide around 100-150 new jobs for the area.
The Clark Pacific Coolidge plant is planned on a 160-acre site near the NWC of Highway 87 and Hanna Road. The Coolidge City Council recently approved a rezoning for the site from Agricultural to General Industrial to enable the development.
Clark Pacific manufactures precast concrete building systems, including components for structural systems, prefab power infrastructure, wall panels and parking structures. The company has also worked on more than 30 data centers totaling more than 13MSF.
Water service for the project will use two registered wells on the property, which appear to have more capacity than the plant will need. The company is working with the Arizona Department of Water Resources’ permitting process to change the wells’ designation from agricultural use to industrial. A canal also runs through the property, but it is uncertain whether the Clark will access it. It will, however, work with the Bureau of Reclamation on canal crossings on the property.
