Groundbreakings
1. Family Development and Mosaic have begun construction on the 209-unit townhome development Town Germann on 14.53 acres in Gilbert’s Layton Lakes community. The first phase is expected to begin leasing in April of next year, with all 12 phases completed by Q1 of 2024.
2. W.E. O’Neil Construction’s Arizona team broke ground recently on the newest customer facility for NetJets in Scottsdale. Designed by Mead & Hunt, the 42KSF facility includes 30KSF of hangar space and 12KSF for offices and a passenger terminal.
Progress Reports
3. The $125M Omni Hotel and Conference Center in Tempe continues to progress toward its planned April 2023 opening. The project is acquiring leads and accepting reservations for meeting spaces, with bookings coming as far out as 2026, according to representatives.
Completions
4. Empire Group of Companies’ new 194-unit build-for-rent community in Phoenix officially began leasing over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Village at Camelback Park is a gated community located at the NWC of 111th Avenue and Ballpark Way.
5. Mark-Taylor Residential has announced the grand opening of Sanctuary on 51st, a new 217-unit single-family luxury rental home community in Laveen.
6. The 40-room “landscape hotel” Ambiente in west Sedona has finished construction and is expected to open this month.
7. Arizona Regional, Intensive Care, Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Center announced the completion of the new, two-story, 33KSF veterinary facility on the SEC of Rittenhouse and Ellsworth in Queen Creek’s Heritage Town Square commercial center. The ARISE Veterinary Center will officially begin treating cats and dogs Dec. 8.
8. The $5.5M, 11KSF Fire Station 2 in Bullhead City is nearing completion and is expected to be ready for occupancy in mid-December.
9. Caliber and Expansive have announced the opening of Expansive Mesa at Newberry Station at 114 W. Main in Mesa. The 20KSF workspace features private offices, event areas co-working space, conference rooms and day offices.
