Groundbreakings
1. Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West broke ground on a nearly 12KSF expansion that is expected to complete within two years. Scottsdale City Council approved the expansion along with a donation of $12M from Louis “Buzz” Sands IV.
Completions
2. The $42M, 429KSF Mill Avenue Parking Structure for Arizona State University completed in Tempe. The six-level parking garage offers 1,205 parking spaces. DFDG Architecture designed the structure and McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. was the general contractor.
3. TruVista Development began leasing at Village of Chandler, a 109-unit apartment complex in Chandler. Village of Chandler offers one-, two- and three-bedroom options with amenities including a resort-style pool, dog park, outdoor workout stations, BBQ grills, walking trails, detached garages and private backyards. MEB Management Services manages the project.
4. Mountain Park Health Center opened its $15M, 30KSF clinic in Glendale. Concord General Contracting was the general contractor. SmithGroup was the architect. The Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority funded the construction of the playground. Money from the American Rescue Plan Act was provided by Maricopa County and federal sources.
5. Ocotillo Medical Collaborative, a $10M, 22KSF medical building, completed construction in Queen Creek. Cypress West Partners constructed the facility and has leased the entire building to five tenants.
6. A.R. Mays Construction announced the completion of Ashley Furniture – Queen Creek, a $7M, 45KSF retail store. Upward Architects was the architect and A.R. Mays Construction was the general contractor.
