2. Theย Bureau of Land Managementย brokeย ground this week on construction of theย Baldy Mountainย shooting sports site in the Lake Pleasant area.ย Baldy Mountain is one of five sites currently planned within the boundaries of the BLM Phoenix District.ย Construction is expected to take around six months.ย Once completed, the site will be the first to open for public use.ย

3. While the Valleyโs tourism industry has been hampered severely by theย COVID-19ย pandemic, construction is still ongoingย atย the newย Ritz-Carlton, Paradise Valleyย resort.ย Five Star Developmentย is on target to complete construction of theย 215-roomย hotelย during fourth-quarter 2020.ย
4. The new bridge that will be part of the first full diverging diamond interchange along an Arizona freeway continues to take shape at Interstate 17 and Happy Valley Road in north Phoenix.ย The work is part of a $50Mย ADOTย project to reconstruct the I-17 interchanges at both Happy Valley and Pinnacle Peak roads. Construction began in November 2018 and is scheduled for completion in fall 2020.ย

5. The 12.3KSFย Hawkins Design Groupย office/warehouse atย 1140 W. Harwell Road,ย Gilbert, was recently completed. It was designed byย Cawley Architectsย and constructed byย Kennedy Design Build. The $3M project was aย mixed-use project withย 6KSF ofย business office operations as the primary occupancy along with aย 6.3KSFย large warehouse area.ย
6. Copper Falls, a newย $45M, 240-unitย garden-style apartment community developed and managed byย P.B. Bell, recently opened the first phase of their luxury apartmentsย at 5151 N.ย 95thย Avenue,ย Glendale, nearย Westgate.ย
