After securing voter approval for a suite of bond-financed construction projects last November, Coconino Community College is working to move those developments forward.
The $100M CCC facilities improvements bond includes:
- Rebuilding the Fourth Street Campus,
- Adding an Allied Health Building on the Lone Tree Campus,
- Building student housing in Page and
- A learning lab with the Williams Local School District.
CCC has selected DLR Group and BWS Architects as the design teams for the Allied Health Building and Fourth Street Campus, respectively. CORE Construction is the Construction Manager at Risk for both projects.
The next step will be design work, with design work for the Lone Tree Campus project possibly coming for approval in November. Fourth Street designs could come in February or March 2027.
The health center is expected to start construction next January, and Fourth Street could begin in late May 2027.
The college is forming design committees with around 10 members in total for the bond projects to solicit stakeholder input. Partners include the City of Flagstaff, Northern Arizona Healthcare and Boys and Girls Club of Northern Arizona.
Market factors have delayed the Page student housing project, officials say. However, it is still expected to break ground this fall, possibly earlier.
Officials are working with the local school district in Williams to lead the design process for the learning lab and expect it to be ready for students in fall 2027. (Source)
