    1. Willmeng Construction served as the presenting sponsor of the Construction in Indian Country Student Endowment Golf Tournament. The event supports American Indian students pursuing careers in construction management.

    2. Brycon announced it has supported the ASU ACI Annual Concrete Cup for nearly a decade. The golf tournament is hosted by the ACI Student Chapter at Arizona State University. Money earned goes toward student programs.

    4. Daniel Boring, Senior VP at Kidder Mathews, has been awarded the Counselor of Real Estate designation. With more than 30 years of experience, Boring leads the firm’s national machinery and equipment appraisal service line and maintains a broad valuation practice. Before joining Kidder Mathews, he served as CEO of Lee & Associates Valuation and Consulting, followed by nearly a decade at CBRE.

    5. New Home Co. is acquiring Landsea Homes for $1.2B. The 2025 BUILDER 100 Database lists New Home Co. as the 62nd largest builder in the country, while Landsea is even larger, having ranked 32nd. Landsea will become a privately held company upon closing the transaction.

    6. Tim Rockholt and Dennis Sime announced the launch of RS Contracting, a Scottsdale-based general contracting firm specializing in the construction and rehabilitation of water and wastewater infrastructure throughout Arizona.

    7. Payson Concrete & Materials Inc. celebrated its 60th anniversary on May 2. The company held a prime rib barbecue for around 180 people. The company was founded by George Randall and his brothers.

    Promotions

    8. LGE Design Build announced the promotion of Matt Daoust from Senior Project Manager to Director of Construction.

    New Hires

    9. Mark Stratz has joined Land Advisors Organization as incoming President and national executive team member. Stratz has 27 years of experience in commercial real estate and will lead the firm’s national growth strategy and expansion into key markets. He previously held leadership roles in land development and tech integration and currently serves as Vice Chair of Phoenix Community Alliance.

    10. Andie Edmonds joined Colliers as Senior VP of the Arizona Healthcare Team. Edmonds, a national leader of the CCIM Institute, brings nearly two decades of commercial real estate expertise to her new role. Prior to joining Colliers, Edmonds was focused on industrial acquisitions and investment sales.

    11. JLL Capital Markets announced it expanded its Phoenix team with the hiring of Charlie von Arentschildt as a Senior Director focused on office investment sales and advisory assignments throughout Phoenix and the western United States. He previously served as Senior VP of CBRE.

    12. The City of Mesa Office of Economic Development appointed Amanda Elliott as Deputy Director of Small Business Services and Administration, Benjamin Snow as Deputy Director of Business Development and Hayley Freestone as Economic Development Specialist. Elliott, formerly with the Town of Gilbert, brings 24 years of public-private leadership experience and will oversee entrepreneurship programs and redevelopment. Snow, a certified economic developer with nearly 30 years in real estate and strategy, will lead business attraction and retention. Freestone will support Mesa’s economic ecosystem and inclusive growth.

    13. Jean Jensen has been appointed as Davis Commercial’snew Managing Broker. In her new role, she will oversee recruiting, hiring and training. Jensen has nearly 20 years of experience in the industry.
