Last week, Exceptional Healthcare confirmed its plans to build a 20KSF hospital facility near Highway 95 and Marina Blvd. in Bullhead City.
According to an article in Mohave Valley Daily News, the hospital will be built on part of a 268-acre parcel owned by CSQ H95 LLLP, which is planning a residential and commercial mixed-use development.
Bullhead City officials praised the announcement, as the hospital will support the area’s ongoing growth in both population and amenities.
Construction is planned to commence later this year, with the opening targeted for late 2023 or early 2024.
Exceptional Healthcare delivered its first hospital project in Arizona last year, opening a 21KSF facility in Maricopa in December. There are two additional phases planned.
In addition to Bullhead City and Maricopa, the company has four more hospitals planned around the state, according to an earlier announcement. The facilities include one currently under construction in Yuma, another in pre-construction in Prescott, and one each in design in Flagstaff and Kingman.
As with the Maricopa hospital and its announced intent in Bullhead City, Exceptional Healthcare generally constructs a roughly 20KSF facility in a first phase. The initial development usually includes approximately 10 emergency exam rooms, 10 inpatient rooms and support services such as an imaging area and lab space. After evaluating market needs, the company then expands its built space and services to include offerings like surgical centers, specialty care or more inpatient services.

Only 10 in-patient beds? Hardly seems worth it.
