    2. StreetLights Residential announced its luxury 332-unit, 17-story, high rise multifamily community The Ryan in Phoenix has been awarded LEED Silver Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

    Groundbreakings

    3. The Sonoran Desert Parkway (aka The East-West Corridor) broke ground June 13th. The project represents the first step of a multi-phase, high-capacity corridor that will ultimately link the City of Maricopa to Casa Grande and I-10.

    4. The Arizona Department of Transportation is starting a project to replace pavement on 29 miles of Interstate 17 south of Flagstaff  to create a smooth driving surface and repair damage from winter weather. The work will stretch from the I-40 interchange south to the Coconino County line at milepost 312. Crews will mill down the worn, rough pavement and replace it with new pavement.

    Progress Reports

    5. Officials with the Granite Dells Park project in Payson report the project is approximately 40% complete. Much of the progress on the 26-acre development over the past six months has consisted of installing and tailoring landscaping and installing a closed drainage system that filters water through a series of runoffs before it collects in an interior lake.

    Completions

    6. Great Hearts Academies reports its Great Hearts Roosevelt Preparatory Academy in Buckeye and its new 10-acre campus at Gavilan Peak Parkway and Arroyo Norte Drive in Anthem are both nearing completion and will be ready to open in the fall.
