By Associated Builders and Contractors Construction input prices increased 1.4% in January compared to the previous month, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Producer Price Index data. Nonresidential construction input prices increased 0.9% for the month. Overall construction input prices are 1.3% higher than a year ago, while nonresidential construction input prices are 0.7% higher. Prices increased in all three energy subcategories last month. The City of Phoenix is expected to proceed soon with a plan that will establish a dense, high-volume mixed-use redevelopment project at 7th Avenue and Washington Street. The City owns all four corners of the intersection. The current Phoenix Police Department headquarters at 620 W. There is another approximately $400M in funding that has not been received. The future of those applications is now uncertain. By BEX Staff for AZBEX A Feb. 6 review of the City’s planned capital improvement projects by the Maricopa City Council’s Budget and Finance Subcommittee revealed a total planning budget of $151.7M, including $77.8M, or 51.3%, planned for roads and area infrastructure. Over the course of the next 10 years, road project investment is projected at more than $496M, according to a local news report.
