Arizona State University recently issued a recap showcasing its 2025 construction efforts. Given ASU’s extensive project set, the announcement reflects project completions and ongoing efforts across a range of service areas, including technology education, student housing, administration, sports and economic development.

    The following projects were completed:

    • ISTB 12: Per the announcement, “Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Building 12, a 173KSF facility located on the Polytechnic campus, now serves as a central hub for robotics, manufacturing and engineering education. Home to the School of Manufacturing Systems and Networks, ISTB 12 features modern instructional and research labs dedicated to areas such as additive manufacturing, smart automation, energy systems and semiconductor fabrication. The building supports more than 100 classes and over 10,000 student users annually.”
    • Mill Avenue Student Housing: “The new seven-story Mill Avenue residence hall adds more than 800 beds, bringing a significant expansion of modern, mixed-use student housing to the Tempe campus. The $113.5M project includes not only living space but also classrooms, dining areas, offices and indoor-outdoor common areas… Designed with creative studios, study pods and community spaces, the building primarily supports students in the arts and design fields by placing them within steps of key academic facilities.”
    • West Valley Academic and Office Building: The West Valley academic and office building is a three-story, 55KSF that supports the campus’s rapid enrollment growth and expanding program needs. The building features modern classrooms, computer labs, faculty offices and flexible collaboration areas designed to accommodate future academic expansion. A signature element is the enlarged ArtSpace West gallery, a 2.4KSF venue equipped with digital projection and sound capabilities to showcase student creativity.
    • Arizona Golf House: “The Arizona Golf House is a new collaborative hub at Papago Golf Club that unites Arizona’s leading nonprofit golf organizations under one roof. Developed through a partnership among ASU, the City of Phoenix and statewide golf nonprofits, it provides offices, meeting spaces and community areas designed to support youth programs, industry research and education in the sport of golf.
    • Novus Place: A “mixed-use entertainment district within the Novus Innovation Corridor on the Tempe campus, welcomed several additions in 2025.” These include three new restaurants from Fox Restaurants and Mira, the third multifamily community in Novus, which features 340 apartments.

    Works in Progress

In addition, the announcement provided several updates on works in progress.

    First among these were:

    • The Polytechnic Chilled Water Expansion, which extended the chilled and heated water loop to support the Student Union and future campus development.
    • The Polytechnic Utilities Expansion added a 3KSF modular chiller plant with scalable capacity and improved system redundancy.
    • The Tempe West Utility Expansion installed 4KSF of power infrastructure to increase electrical capacity for the west Tempe campus facilities.

All campuses received updates to their classrooms and learning spaces. In addition, Facilities Management completed several small infrastructure projects that totaled more than $1.5M across all locations.
