    Giving Back

    1. Multifamily development, construction and management firm MC Companies recently honored one of its long-time residents. Bess Berk, a resident of The Place at the Fountains at Sun City since 1997, turns 104 in June. To commemorate Berk’s longevity and decades of residency in their community, MC Companies officials presented her with a personal letter signed by MC’s owners and executives, chocolates, flowers and free rent for her birthday month.

    Company News

    4. Suntec Concrete launched Suntec University, an in-house training program focused on leadership, relationships and growth. The initiative supports employee development through life skills, leadership and industry training. The program aligns with Suntec’s employee ownership model and will expand from its Phoenix hub into the company’s Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Idaho and Nevada markets.

    5. Rafael Construction, Inc. (Nevada) announced its expansion into the Arizona region with the opening of a new office in Phoenix. The Arizona team will focus on delivering commercial construction services tailored to meet the unique needs of the region.

    6. Embarc Realty announced it is entering the Arizona market with an office in Green Valley as part of its national expansion. Embarc’s Arizona leadership team consists of: Laurie Lundeen, Martha Appel, Greg Hollman and Buck James Callery. Embarc’s CEO is Andy Alloway.

    Promotions

    7. Kitchell Contractors promoted Lisa Shanley to VP of Business Development. Shanley, who has been with the firm for 22 years, will lead business development and marketing across Arizona and Texas as part of Kitchell’s five-year growth strategy.

    New Hires

    8. Rafael Construction, Inc. welcomed Fred Johnson as VP and Alexandra Maggi as Senior Business Development Manager at its new Phoenix location. With more than 30 years in the industry, Johnson brings a wealth of leadership and expertise that will be instrumental in guiding the company’s growth in the region. Maggi, with 11 years of industry experience, offers strategic insight and a strong background in business development that will play a key role in building lasting client relationships and expanding Rafael’s presence in Arizona.

    9. Davis Commercial AZ hired Charles “Chuck” Carlise as Senior VP. Carlise brings four decades of experience in development, leasing, acquisitions and portfolio management. He will support the firm’s growth and guide landlord, tenant, buyer and seller representation.

    10. Broadbent & Associates, Inc. hired Summer Igo as Project Scientist II in its Phoenix office. Igo has nine years of experience in environmental consulting, with expertise in USTs/LUSTs, WQARF, fieldwork supervision and regulatory compliance.

    11. DFDG Architecture announced it has welcomed Ali Kazerooni and Erin Phelan to its team. Kazerooni will serve as an Architectural Associate, while Phelan will serve as an Administrative Assistant.
