3. Dhruv Patel has been named President and COO of McCarthy Holdings Inc. Patel will lead efforts to strengthen alignment across the business, drive greater consistency and deliver client results. He joined McCarthy Building Companies Inc. in 2013 and most recently held executive leadership roles across the project life cycle, from preconstruction to operations.
4. DPR Construction has named Matthew Thrower as Arizona Business Unit Leader. Thrower will oversee customer relationships, operations and teams across the state, guiding DPR’s business in one of the nation’s most active construction markets. He joined the company in Arizona in 2018.
New Hires
5. Josh Rogers has joined Kitchell Development as Executive Director of Development. Rogers brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience spanning site selection, land acquisition, entitlements, financial analysis, leasing, design coordination and construction management.
6. Lloyd Sports + Engineering announced the recent addition of Grayson Allen to its Phoenix team. Allen is a Civil Designer who brings a blend of on-site experience and land development expertise and a seamless transition from conceptual design to final project completion.
In Memoriam
7. John Strobeck, founder of Bright Future Real Estate Research, died July 31 at age 84. Strobeck founded the Tucson-based housing market research firm in the early 1990s, where he became a leading authority on Southern Arizona residential development and new-home activity. Before founding Bright Future Real Estate Research, Strobeck spent nearly three decades with IBM in market management and real estate. Strobeck also served as an advisory member of the Southern Arizona Home Builders Association.
