    4. U.S. Small Business Administration has honored Arizona entrepreneurs during National Small Business Week. The 2024 SBA Small Business Week Arizona winners associated with the A/E/C industry are:

    • Arizona Small Business Persons of the Year 2024: Austin Tsosie and Dan Riggs, Dinรฉ Development Corporation;
    • Arizona Minority Small Business of the Year 2024: Patricia Tellez Olds, Kuniklo Corporation;
    • Arizona Women in Business Champion of the Year: Shanen Lee Aranmor, Weld Like A Girl, and
    • Arizona District Office Recognition Award: Annemarie Haenfler, ACS Services.

    5. Picnic Development won the 11th annual REIAC/Rockefeller Group Challenge at Arizona Country Club in Phoenix. Picnic Developmentโ€™s The Gem took home the $1K per team member cash prize. The winners were Keyonna Martinez, Kevin Winkler, Nicholas Anderson and Bridger Hendzel.

    Company News

    6. Galileo Project LLC announced a merger with Merjent, Inc. The strategic merger will form a more robust, comprehensive service provider. Galileo Project LLC will operate under Merjent, Inc. once the merger is complete.

    Promotions

    7. Meghann Duran has been promoted to Associate Principal at Lamar Johnson Collaborative.

    8. Marti Weinstein was promoted to Partner at Diversified Partners LLC. Prior to her promotion, she held the title of Retail Sales and Leasing Associate.

    9. Trammell Crow Company has promoted Paul Tuchin to Market Leader of the Phoenix office. Tuchin assumed the role after Cathy Thuringer was promoted to President of Western U.S. for Trammell.

    10. McCarthy Building Companies announced the promotion of Ryan Ferguson to VP of Operations of the Mission Critical team.

    New Hires

    11. The Town of Florence has hired AJ Monroe as Community Development Director. He has more than 27 years of experience with 17 years at the City of Portage in Indiana.

    12. Landsea Homes announced the hiring of Alissa Rivera as Director of Marketing for the Arizona division. Prior to her new position, she worked at Taylor Morrison as Marketing Manager.

    13. Brian Kielman has joined W.E. Oโ€™Neil Construction as Senior Project Manager.

    14. DLR Group has hired Connie Lewis as Senior Project Accountant.

    15. Emily Minnier has joined JLL as an Associate Broker at the Phoenix office.
