    Awards & Accolades

    1. Scottsdale Water Resources Administrator Kevin Rose was named the Operations Leader of the Year at the 2022 Arizona Water Conference in April.

    2. The Central Arizona CCIM Chapter welcomed two designees from NAI Horizon, First Vice Presidents Victoria Filice and Andrew Warner. Filice is with the Nunez Self Storage Group. Warner is a member of the Manufactured Housing Group.

    3. Gary Heinfeld has been elected to Region 2 First Vice President for 2023.

    4. Helios Education Foundation announced today the expansion of its Board of Directors with the appointment of Kitchell President and CEO Jim Swanson.

    Company News

    5. The City of Maricopa is undergoing changes in leadership. Mayor Christian Price has resigned his position to join the Maricopa Economic Development Alliance as President and CEO. Vice Mayor Vincent Manfredi will serve as Interim Mayor until City Council chooses a full-time replacement to serve out the two years remaining in Priceโ€™s term.

    6. Meritage Homes Corp. CEO Phillippe Lord told analysts in the Q1 earnings call the company has formed two relationships with national Build-to-Rent operators to develop BTR communities over the next several years.

    7. MC Companies announced the Arroyo Verde multifamily development, a $39.6M, 156-unit apartment complex currently under construction near Tucson, is its first project under a joint venture with an undisclosed global institutional investor.

    8. WOODPATEL has promoted as Principals Derek Nichols, Antonio Cortes and John โ€œGordyโ€ Ritchie.

    9. Shawn Byron has been promoted to Associate Principal at RVi Planning + Landscape Architecture.

    10. Rob Martensen has been promoted to Senior Executive VP with Colliers in Arizona.

    11. David Kelly has been promoted to Senior Project Manager at DCS Contracting.

    12. Sundt Construction recently promoted Lou Mantrom to Manager of Craft Talent Acquisition. He will oversee a team of talent acquisition specialists for specialized skilled trades.

    13. Ryan Abbott has joined Clayco as Executive VP, Southwest Region.

    14. Stephen Lohr has joined Corgan as Multifamily Studio Leader, leading the practice as the firm expands its mixed-use services.

    15. Colliers in Arizona announced Steve Lowe has joined the firm as Senior VP in the Industrial Properties group.

    16. Ten-year industry veteran Sean Lieb has joined LevRose Commercial Real Estate as Senior VP.

    17. Ethos Engineering recently announced two new hires. Kenneth Ruffennach has joined the firm as a Senior Bridge Engineer, and Jesse Huston has joined as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer.

    18. KBE Building recently announced two new hires. Samantha Lyman has joined as Senior Project Manager, and Sheri LaPlante has come aboard as Cost/Project Accountant.

    19. Achen-Gardner announced the addition of Bryan Mueller as Project Executive.

    20. Sundt Construction recently added Alex Billesbach to its Building Group in Phoenix as a Field Superintendent.

    21. Michael Hreha has been hired at Larson Design Group as Senior Technical Manager in the firmโ€™s Buildings Group.

    22. Carrie Bailes has been hired at Buehler Engineeringโ€™s Phoenix location as Business Development Manager.

    23. Peter Furlow has joined Rose Law Group as an Attorney. He will be working in the firmโ€™s real estate, business and cannabis sections.
