    1. Progressive Roofing, Duro-Last and Holcim partnered to provide a donated roof restoration valued at nearly $60K for Ability360’s location at 5031 E. Washington St. Progressive Roofing contributed the labor; Duro-Last provided a silicone coating, and Holcim supplied additional materials.

    2. Airgas, an Air Liquide company,announced 72 schools were selected to take part in its High School Welding Education Initiative. Of the 72 schools, two are in Arizona: Page High School and Weld Like a Girl.

    5. Dylan Sproul of Transwestern Real Estate Services received his SIOR designation. Sproul is now the youngest designee in SIOR’s current global membership, which consists of 4,000 members in more than 50 countries.

    Company News

    6. In honor of its 70th anniversary, the Arizona Water Company is holding a series of open houses and giveaways through April. The company originally began in 1955 with 10 water systems throughout the state. Currently, the company operates 24.

    7. ARIMIA, a new project concierge firm specializing in luxury home construction and major renovations, has launched in Scottsdale. The firm was founded by Nataliya Palakanis and provides high-end project execution. ARIMIA curates design-build teams and oversees projects from pre-construction through completion. A launch event for the firm will be held May 1.

    Promotions

    8. Nate Unruh has been promoted to CIO at NOX Group. Unruh was previously the VP of Technology at the company. His new role will include leading technology strategy and overseeing infrastructure, data and digital transformation.

    9. Transwestern Real Estate Services promoted Kate Morris and Vince Femiano to Managing Directors. Since joining the firm in 2019, Morris and Femiano have helped lead the Phoenix Healthcare Advisory Services team.

    10. Craig Passey has been promoted from Health Studio Leader to Director of Health at SmithGroup. Passey has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare facility design and will develop and execute the company’s strategic vision in his new position.

    11. The Weitz Company announced Mina Wassef has been promoted to Business Development Director. Wassef has 20 years of experience in the industry. He will lead the company in national growth initiatives and strengthen client-company relationships in his new role.

    New Hires

    12. Edward Castro has joined Kidder Mathews as General Counsel. In this role, he will serve as the chief legal advisor for the company—including brokerage, asset services, and valuation advisory divisions across the firm’s 19 locations in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada and Arizona. He has 30 years of experience in commercial real estate law.

    13. Three leading commercial real estate professionals have moved from CBRE to the Phoenix office of JLL. Bryan Taute joins as Executive Managing Director, Spencer Nast as Senior VP and William Mask as VP. They bring a combined 40 years of metro Phoenix office market expertise to their new firm.

    14. Sam Sufi has returned to the CBRE Tucson office as VP. He will focus on capital markets investment sales, leading the investment sales platform for commercial investment properties in Tucson. He is moving from Diamond Ventures after four years with the company.

    15. Transwestern Real Estate Services announced Kathleen Morgan joined the firm as Managing Director. Morgan brings more than 25 years of experience to the Healthcare Advisory Services team. She will advise physicians, medical building owners, practice groups, hospitals, healthcare providers and others in the healthcare industry on real estate decisions.

    16. Joe Paul Camacho Jr. has been hired as the Director of Preconstruction at PREMIER Design + Build Group. Camacho has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry and will assist the firm with the budgeting and planning process.

    17. Graycor Construction Company has hired Brett Helm as General Manager of its Southwest Division, based in the company’s Phoenix office. Helm has 30 years of experience in the industry. His most recent previous position was with DPR Construction as a Project Executive. He has also spent time with HITT Contracting, Gilbane Building Company, Clayco and Skanska.
