2. Theย Arizona Builders Allianceย (ABA) brought the local construction industry together to make Christmas a magical time for hundreds of children. Approximately 100 Arizona construction companies and their employees donated almost $50Kย to theย 11th Annual ABA Community Service Boardโs 2020 Toy Driveย to purchase toys and gifts for five nonprofits serving 900 children in Phoenix Metro area.ย The ABA teamed up with member construction companies includingย McCarthy Building Companies,ย FCI Constructors,ย The Weitz Company,ย Sundt,ย Kitchell,ย CORE, andย Rosendinย to collect and wrap presents for over 100 children atย Sunshine Acres Childrenโs Homeย in Mesa.ย

3. In 2020,ย Rosendinย expanded training at its Tempe office and sponsored three emerging leaders to participate in theย Arizona Builders Allianceโsย (ABA) 2020 Leadership programs. This month,ย Chad Constance,ย Jasonย Karseboom, andย Andrew Speerย graduated from the ABAโs management education programs designed to prepare them for advanced leadership roles.ย These young, emerging leaders were celebrated, along withย all ofย this yearโs graduates, during theย ABA’s 27th Annual Leadership Lunch, held December 10th at theย Camelback Inn and Resortย in Scottsdale.ย

8. HomeServe USA Corp. has acquiredย Sterling Air Services, which offers a range of cooling, heating, plumbing and water services to residential customers throughout the east Valley area. The financial terms of the deal wereย notย released.ย
9. Dallas-based commercial real estate appraisal firmย BBGย has announced its acquisition of Valley-basedย Nava Hurd Advisory Group.ย Nava Hurd includes both Tempe-basedย Brekanย Nava Groupย and Paradise Valley-basedย Hurd and Associates. Both companies, like BBG, are commercial appraisers. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.ย

MEB Management Servicesย has bolstered its build-to-rent operations with the hiring of industry expertย Jayย Dasseleย as Asset Director.ย Dasseleย will oversee part of MEBโs build-to-rent properties and operations for large multifamily properties. He will be responsible for directing andย providing assistanceย for all aspects of the operations to ensure ownership objectives are achieved.ย ย
11. Theย City of Glendaleย namedย Jamsheedย Mehtaย as its newย Developmentย Servicesย Director.ย Mehta most recently served seven years as town manager and deputy town manager in Marana.ย As the new development services director, Mr. Mehta will be responsible for the leadership,ย directionย and management of the development services department, including planning, building safety and code compliance.ย
12. M. J. Harris Construction Servicesย recently hiredย Greg McCormickย as Division Manager of its new office in Phoenix, AZ. McCormick brings over 35 years of General Construction and Construction Management experience, extensively focused on Healthcare construction.ย
