    Groundbreakings

    1. TPA Group has broken ground on the Butterfield Logistics Center, an industrial project in Tucson located in the Butterfield Business Center at the Palo Verde/Alvernon interchange with I-10. The logistics center will be approximately 194.9KSF, with leasing opportunities starting at approximately 32.2KSF. Completion is expected for Q3 2025. The project is designed by Atlas Collaborative Architects and is being constructed by FCL Builders.

    2. Wespac Construction, Inc. announced the upcoming construction of a new 76.7KSF academic facility at the Saint Thomas the Apostle campus on 24th Street between Camelback Road and Campbell Avenue in Phoenix. The project is being delivered in partnership with Saint Thomas the Apostle, the Roman Diocese of Phoenix and Hamilton Architecture. Completion is expected in the first quarter of 2026.

    Progress Reports

    3. YESCO has announced it will begin to work on new signage, lighting and architectural steel structures on the Ocotillo Bridge in the Gilbert Regional Park. The $112M project is being funded by transportation bonds.

    4. Pinal County announced that $43M from its Capital Improvement Plan will be delegated to transportation projects in the 2024-25 fiscal year. The Combs and Kenworthy Project, which focuses on Combs and Kenworthy roads, is split into two separate bonds. The combined cost for these two projects is $20M. Roadway, drainage and safety improvements are included in the project. Pinal’s Public Works District Manager, Charles Williams, is the project manager during construction.

    5. Horizontal infrastructure has been completed for the first phase of SkyBridge Arizona. The more than 400-acre business park is a part of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. The developer is SkyPlus Developments. Graycor Construction Co. serves as the general contractor, while ADM Group, Inc. is the architect. The first phase cost more than $25M. The second phase will allow aeronautical development along Taxiway Alpha, with available land for industrial, manufacturing or warehouse space.

    6. George Oliver announced the Bond in Camelback Corridor is nearing completion of its redevelopment. The 287KSF, three-story building is at 3200 E. Camelback Road on the NEC of Camelback Road and 32nd Street in Phoenix. Bond’s amenities are scheduled to be delivered by year-end.

    7. The Arizona Department of Transportation funded improvements to Casa Grande Municipal Airport’s west apron and Taxiway Echo will be carried out in the coming weeks. The improvements are funded through ADOT’s airport pavement management program, which pays for 100% of design and 90% of construction costs, while the City of Casa Grande pays the remaining 10%. The Airport is going to continue to try to upgrade the main airport apron and is exploring other funding opportunities.

    Completions

    8. The Streamline Companies held a ribbon-cutting ceremony after completing site renovations and improvements for its new 18.5KSF office building at 1234 S. Power Road in Mesa. The office building was purchased for $2.8M earlier this year and is called Twelve 34 South Power. The building is 93% occupied and has a total of 13 suites, including Streamline’s own office.
