Tucson City Council has approved sales tax reimbursements tied to new projects for both Bass Pro Shops and The Home Depot at the City Council meeting this week.
Bass Pro Shops to Enter Southern Arizona Market
Bass Pro Shops distributed a press release confirming the announcement of the new destination retail store coming to Tucson. This will be their third in the state and first in the Metro Tucson region. They will develop a 13-acre parcel at the Bridges development along I-10, between Kino Parkway and Park Ave. We believe the parcel is located between Costco and Dave & Buster’s.
According to the press release, the store is expected to open in late 2024. The project is estimated at $35.8M in construction costs and will employ 128 workers when complete.
No information on the development team was available.
Southeast Tucson to get Home Depot
Home Depot plans to invest $40M in a new store in southeast Tucson. The project is planned at Houghton Town Center, located at Houghton and Old Vail Road in southeast Tucson. The project will encompass 136KSF of retail space and will serve as an anchor tenant for the retail development.
No information on the development team or construction timeline was available. (Source)
