    Giving Back

    1. Nearly 200 Arizona City residents participated in the Dec. 10 AireBeam Touch a Truck Day at the Arizona City Fire Station. The goal of the event was to better connect the community with firefighters who risk their lives to protect the Arizona City community as well as let those attending learn more about what AireBeam offers and how it is supporting the community.

    2. Throughout the month of November, The Rosendin Foundation celebrated its partnership with 41 nonprofits across the United States, donating a total of $535K to these community organizations. The Arizona donations included $25K to Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. in Phoenix.

    Awards & Accolades

    3. Tucson-based Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR has been named among the nation’s highest growth companies. Since 1999, Initiative for a Competitive Inner City names the 100 fastest-growing businesses in underserved communities in the United States to their Inner City 100 List. ICIC announced Cushman and Wakefield | PICOR as the 75th-ranked growth company based on revenue growth and job creation over four years.

    4. The Greater Phoenix Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management has announced its 2023 Board of Directors and Advisory Council.

    The 2023 Board of Directors:

    • President, Ed Valerio, Link Logistics Real Estate;
    • President-Elect, Carrie Temple, ViaWest Group;
    • Secretary/Treasurer, Tom Coughlin, Stream Realty Partners;

    Promotions

    5. The PENTA Building Group recently promoted two members of its leadership team. Mike McLean has been named VP of Construction and Jeff Mills has been promoted to Director of Operations in Arizona.

    6. Zach Schacht has been promoted to Western Region Project Manager at PIVIUM.

    New Hires

    7. Ken Kessler has joined Valley Metro as CFO. Kessler worked for the City of Phoenix for more than 26 years and developed the financial plan for Phoenix’s Transportation 2050 transit and transportation program.

    8. ViaSun recently announced three new hires. Joining the team are Matt Johnson – Controller, Frank Straka – Project Administrator, and Tonya Jo Sloan – Assistant Project Manager.

    9. JLL Capital Markets announced that Greer Oliver and Connor Nebeker-Hay have joined the firm as Senior Director and Associate, respectively, in its Phoenix office. Oliver will lead JLL’s institutional industrial investment sale efforts throughout the Phoenix MSA, with leadership support from Ben Geelan and Mark Detmer.

    10. Stevens-Leinweber Construction has hired Mike Willingham to serve in its newly created Director of Field Operations position to handle the company’s growing pipeline of construction work.

    11. Alex Kas-Marogi has been named Associate with Colliers in Arizona. The former mortgage officer will be part of the company’s growing group of industrial properties specialists.
