1. PriceMyAC.com announced longstanding community activist and passionate volunteer Julie Armstrong is the recipient of the August 2022 “Making the World a Cooler Place” award. PriceMyAC.com launched the awards at the beginning of the summer 2022 to honor ordinary citizens who humbly and quietly make impact through community service, volunteering and philanthropy.

2. As part of EPS Group’s 19th Anniversary, the company chose the Human Services Annual ThirstAid Campaign as their philanthropic partner. Donations from clients, partners, associates and a corporate match provided 93,650 bottles of water to help people experiencing homelessness in Arizona stay hydrated.

4. CRE capital markets platform Northmarq announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase Stan Johnson Company, a real estate brokerage and advisory firm that focuses on investment sales across multiple asset classes. The acquisition will also include affiliate debt services company Four Pillars Capital Markets.

5. Goodyear Economic Development Project Manager Wendy Bridges has been appointed to serve as Interim Economic Development Director following the resignation of former Director Lori Gray last month. The City plans to conduct a search to fill the position permanently.
6. Scott Butler has been appointed as Mesa’s Assistant City Manager.
7. Rachel Arndt has been promoted to Administrative Manager at RVi-Arizona.

8. Mary Kopaskie-Brown has been hired to serve as the City of Mesa’s new Planning Director. She will start her term the first week of November.
