    Giving Back

    1. The Rosendin Foundation recognized Rosendin and employees across the country for donating more than 1,250 volunteer hours in 2021 and 2022 at nonprofit organizations across the country. Volunteer efforts were held nationwide across 16 regional offices. The Foundation’s second “Week of Service” was held between August 1st through August 6th.

    Company News

    2. Cecilian Partners Inc. announced that Stephanie McCarty, chief marketing and communications officer at Taylor Morrison, and Greg Vogel, founder and CEO of Land Advisors Organization, have been named its board of directors.

    3. Central Arizona Supply announced the acquisition of Benjamin Supply of Tucson, Arizona’s longest-standing plumbing supply company. Benjamin Supply will continue to operate its Tucson and Sierra Vista locations under the existing name.

    4. Rise48 Equity announced it has acquired 13 new apartment properties, adding 2,750 units to its portfolio. All properties will be rebranded under the Rise name, and more than $63M in renovations are planned at the sites.

    5. ABI Multifamily, which bills itself as “the leading multifamily brokerage and advisory services firm in the Western U.S.,” announced that as of August 9th it has closed 102 total transactions so far this year. Total sales volume for transactions, which include both multifamily and land deals, totals over $740M and 2,867 units.

    6. Stoa USA Inc., the Arizona-based company that launched the FlipOS by Stoa platform for professional single-family home investors, has closed another $100M securitization. The funding is underwritten by Cantor Fitzgerald. Stoa’s $100M securitization in November 2021 was also underwritten by Cantor Fitzgerald.

    7. WERK|urban design announced it will merge with Cascade Landscape Architecture effective August 15th. Future business will be conducted under the WERK|urban design brand.

    8. Former Yuma City Manager Greg Keith Wilkinson has taken over ownership of Archixona LLC, a construction materials supply and project management services firm. The company has also recently been certified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

    New Hires

    9. Salt River Project has announced Leslie Meyers as the company’s new Chief Water Executive and Associate General Manager of Water Resources.

    10. Amy Hawkins has joined Clayco as Operations Executive.

    11. LaPour Partners announced the addition of Matthew Hoyt as its first VP of Finance.

    12. Continuing its recent spate of new hires, Sundt Construction recently added six new members to the Industrial Group team and three to the Industrial Group’s proposal staff. The new hires and their positions are:

    Industrial Group

    • John Fisher, Project Executive;
    • Dean Zimmerman, Senior Project Manager;
    • Steven Oxley, Project Engineer;
    • David Klinkhamer, Business Intelligence Analyst;
    • Daniel Houston, Virtual Construction Technician, and
    • Caitlin Rowell, Industrial Group Office Manager.

    • Marilyn Schueppert, Proposal Manager;
    • Dorene McLaughlin, Proposal Specialist, and
    • Riann Darley, Proposal Specialist.

    13. Spectra Electrical Services, Inc. recently announced two new hires. Uriel Palacios, Jr. has joined as Project Manager, and Antonio Ciapara has come on as Assistant Project Manager.

    14. Jessica Pride has joined W.E. O’Neil Construction as Senior Project Administrator.

    In Memoriam

    15. Ron Zimmerman, a Cushman & Wakefield |PICOR Broker since 2013 and respected member of the Arizona commercial real estate community died peacefully at his Tucson home July 23rd. Memorial donations may be made in Ron Zimmerman’s name to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona or Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona.
