Awards & Accolades

1. The City of Scottsdale’s Rawhide Wash Flood Hazard Mitigation Project earned a 2026 American Public Works Association Public Works Project of the Year award for its regional approach to flood mitigation. The effort, completed by Scottsdale’s Stormwater Management team in partnership with the Maricopa County Flood Control District and the City of Phoenix, improved 1.6 miles of Rawhide Wash, eliminating the FEMA floodplain designation for hundreds of Scottsdale properties.
