A rezoning request before the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors could deliver a mix of housing types and commercial develop to a county island at 83rd Avenue and Broadway Road in southwest Phoenix.
The request would rezone 114 acres at the SEC and SWC of the intersection. The Maricopa County Planning and Zoning Commission recommended the plan for approval in October.
If approved, the plan would feature up to 1,100 residential units in a mix of single-family homes, neo-traditional/detached and multifamily homes. Sixteen acres of open space are included. (Source)
