More plans have been submitted to the City of Scottsdale for the development of Sereno Canyon Phase Four.

Luxury homebuilder, Toll Brothers is requesting approval for final building elevations and a landscape plan for a resort lodge building, townhouse, and cottage resort development on a 129-acre site at the NWC of East Pinnacle Peak Road and North 128th Street.

Phase four, also known as The Resort Club at Sereno Canyon, is proposed as a “vacation home series” consisting of 296 units. The units will be a mix of four estate vacation homes, 90 resort townhomes, 129 resort villas, 44 resort paired villas and 29 lodge cottages.

A +9KSF Mountain House Lodge along with the 44 resort paired villas and 29 lodge cottages is intended to be the “Resort Core”, located in the center of the Resort Club. According to the applicant’s narrative, the Mountain House Lodge, “is envisioned as the community’s iconic club facility with a resort lifestyle, luxury-level operation and a range of amenities expected to serve up to 397 homes in the Sereno Canyon community.”

Amenities for the Resort Core include: two swimming pools, fitness pavilion, spa, café and several outdoor terraces and patios.

“The club building’s desert contemporary forms, colors and materials will complement the majestic mountains and will be accentuated with broad roof overhangs that provide shade for comfort and help to frame special vistas,” according to the submittal.

The plan also incorporates significant areas of natural open space and rock formations along with trail connections for pedestrian access.

The lodge is expected to be built with multiple phases in mind based on demand and market conditions, but the intent is to build the lodge all at once. According to the lead design firm on the project, Swaback Partners, during the BEX Hospitality Leading Market Series event on August 1st, the lodge is expected to break ground in the third quarter of 2020 and take 18 months to build.

There are currently no meetings scheduled with the City of Scottsdale.
