Coconino Community College (CCC) is looking for a partner to help develop a new student housing complex at its Page campus on the corner of Cameron Street and Lake Powell Boulevard.
The Community College recently issued a Request for Qualifications for Public-Private Partnership services for the new complex. The chosen developer for this project would be required to finance and maintain the complex. According to the RFQ, the proposed project also includes, “short-term rental possibilities for the local workforce in Page.”
Interested parties wanting to submit a statement of qualification will need to specify any experience and education relating to energy-efficient building practices, as the college is looking to increase the energy efficiency of their campuses.
The new student housing complex will be part of the college’s “Students First: Vision 2025” strategy they are finalizing, which is, “based on priorities established by the District Governing Board that include (among others) student success, progressive business processes, strategic partnerships, and sustainability through responsible stewardship of economic, public and environmental resources,” the RFQ states. This project will also require an update to the facilities master plan for their CCC Page Center.
No pre-submittal meeting or conference has been mentioned in the RFQ. All statements of qualification must be submitted to the college’s Purchasing Office no later than 2:00 p.m. MST on September 28th. A deadline to submit questions is at 2:00 pm MST, September 16th.
This will be a two-step solicitation process as the college will then select firms to submit a formal proposal. Those who have been selected are expected to receive RFPs on October 2nd. All formal proposals will be due no later than 2:00 p.m. on October 22. Interviews will be scheduled the week of October 26th and a firm is anticipated to be selected by November 19th.
