    Giving Back

    1. Land investor Kelly Sands has donated 14 acres of land on State Route 260 to the Verde Valley Community Development Organization. The group says the land has the potential to serve as the location for up to 45 future homes.

    2. The PICOR Charitable Foundation hosted its annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser at Reid Park on Oct. 26, raising $95.7K for underserved youth programs in southern Ariz. A matching contribution from the Burton Family Foundation brought the total raised to $191.3K. PICOR reported every dollar raised will go directly to youth organizations, and the foundation has now raised $1.9M since 1994.

    3. HBC Roofing replaced the roof on Bethel Sonrise church as the quarterly project for the companyโ€™s Phoenix Roof Rescue Initiative. The company and staff donated time, labor and materials for the replacement, with an estimated total value of $5.5K.

    Awards & Accolades

    4. Information Management Network kicked off its three-day Single-Family Rental Forum in Scottsdale with a dinner and award ceremony at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess on Dec. 1. The award ceremony celebrates companies for industry excellence in multiple categories. It is the second year in a row, IMN has honored Scottsdale general contractor Lifestyle Homes as the 2025 Architect, Engineer & Construction Service company of the year.

    5. PTK Magazine announced its list of Arizona Real Estate Up-and-Comers to Know in 2026. The list is comprised of:

    • Abigail Vallelonga โ€“ EHS Restoration,
    • Alberto Caballero โ€“ Western Retail Advisors,
    • Kaylena Ferrin โ€“ Greenberg Traurig,
    • Tierney Encinias โ€“ Kovach Enclosure Systems and
    • Wally Brown III โ€“ Diversified Partners.

    Company News

    6. Constellation Real Estate Partners expanded into metro Phoenix with the opening of an office in Scottsdale at 15169 N. Scottsdale Road. The firm, founded in 2021, reports a pipeline of 24 projects totaling 12MSF across Sunbelt logistics markets. Sven Tustin, a 20-year commercial real estate veteran, joined the company as Partner for the Southwest Region, where he will oversee land acquisition, development and property operations. Tustin previously worked at Conor Commercial Real Estate and Trammell Crow Company in development roles.

    7. Crescent Communities and Heitman have formed a second joint venture to invest in Crescent Communitiesโ€™ single-family Build-to-Rent platform, starting with an initial $240M commitment that can expand to $340M and fund approximately six communities in Sunbelt and emerging growth states. As with the first venture, properties will be part of the HARMON by Crescent Communities brand. The initial venture, launched in 2024 with an initial $235M commitment, later increased to $345M, invested in six HARMON BTR communities.

    8. New Home Company and Landsea Homes announced they will unify their organization under the brand Risewell Homes. The two companies undertook a $1.2B merger earlier this year.

    9. Windtree Therapeutics has signed a letter of intent to acquire commercial real estate lender CommLoan Inc. Financial terms were not disclosed.

    10. Colliers Engineering & Designโ€™s East Valley office has moved and is now located at 275 E. Rivulon Blvd., Suite 312 in Gilbert.

    Promotions

    11. Caruso Turley Scott Structural Engineers announced the following promotions:

    • Diane Eisenbacher, promoted to Associate Partner. She joined the firm in 2004.
    • Tanner Wytroval, promoted to Project Manager. He joined the firm in 2013.
    • Joe Domino, promoted to Project Manager. He joined the firm in 2013.
    • Brandon Skalsky, promoted to Project Manager. He joined the firm in 2013.

    12. Ginger Spencer has been appointed Assistant City Manager for the City of Phoenix, succeeding Inger Erickson, who retired in October. Spencer has 28 years of experience with the City and most recently served as Deputy City Manager following her tenure as Public Works Director.

    New Hires

    13. John Pombier was appointed City Manager for the City of Chandler through June 2027. He previously served as Acting City Manager beginning July 13, 2025, and has 27 years of experience in public service with Mesa, Phoenix and the Arizona Governorโ€™s Office.
