Giving Back

1. The Terracon Foundation announced the establishment of a $50,000 endowed scholarship at Arizona State University to support civil engineering students in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment, part of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University. The funding will support an annual scholarship for one student.
2. The Arizona Parks and Recreation Association announced the 2025 Maintenance Rodeo, presented by CORE Construction, taking place as a pre-conference event on Monday, Aug. 25, at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix. This hands-on event is designed by park professionals, for park professionals, and is free to all APRA members. The Maintenance Rodeo is an opportunity for park maintenance staff to demonstrate their expertise in a series of skill-based challenges, connect with peers from across the state and gain new ideas and best practices for their daily work. Sign-up and check-in start at 6:30 a.m. the day of the event.
Promotions
3. Terracon has promoted Eddy Ramirez and Mike Peters to Senior Associate. Ramirez, Geotechnical Department Manager in the Phoenix office, has been with the firm for nine years. Peters, Laboratory Manager for Tempe and Avondale, who also helps lead Laboratory Services for the Rocky Mountain Division, has been with the firm for 10 years.
New Hires
4. Mark Seale has joined Stream Realty Partners in Phoenix as Executive VP after serving as principal and market leader at Avison Young. He brings more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience. Ben Seale has joined the firm as Senior Associate after working as an associate broker at Avison Young. The father-son team will focus on occupier services in the Phoenix market.
5. Tom “TJ” Johnston has been appointed as the Executive Director of the W.P. Carey Center for Real Estate and Finance. Johnston has more than 20 years of experience including brokerage, operations and investment strategy.
6. Christian Green has joined The Weitz Company in Arizona as Senior Business Development Manager. He has more than 20 years of public and private sector experience. In his new role, he will lead strategic business development initiatives with a focus on aviation, commercial, industrial and mission-critical sectors.
