Groundbreakings
1. Wood Partners’ Alta Dove Valley in north Phoenix started construction last month. Completion of the 380-unit community at 2725 W. Dove Valley Road is expected in 2026.
Progress Reports
2. SDB Contracting Services reports ongoing progress with the civil construction portion of the 63-acre, eight-building Brickyards on Ellsworth industrial development in Mesa. General contractor FCL Builders engaged SDB to install a sewer, approximately 21’ deep. The project includes offsite and onsite infrastructure piping with two lift stations for stormwater. Completion is slated for early October.
Completions
3. Liv Communities and Rockefeller Group announced the grand opening of Sol38 by Liv, a new 360-unit apartment community at 3875 W. Dobbins Road in Laveen. This is the fifth Phoenix-area residential development completed by the partnership of Liv Communities and Rockefeller Group.
4. Greenlight Communities and property management partner Bryten Real Estate Partners have announced the imminent completion of two new affordable communities in metro Phoenix. Streamliner 67th (6755 W. McDowell Road) will open to tenants in July with 292 units. Streamliner 16th (1616 E. Polk St.) will provide 208 units and will open for renters in August.
5. Soltrust Residential REIT (formerly Blueprint Capital REIT) has announced a June 20 grand opening for Alloy Midtown, its 171-unit office-to-apartment conversion at 3010 N. 2nd St. in Phoenix. The development team responsible for converting the former DEA Phoenix Headquarters location consisted of: Soltrust, Synectic and GGLO Design (architecture and interior design), Anderson Design (landscape), Peterson (MEP consulting), LDG (civil engineering), A.R. Mays Construction (general contractor), and Sentral (property management).
6. Construction has been completed on the New Horizons Women’s Care medical office at Rittenhouse and Ocotillo roads in Queen Creek. The 11.2KSF facility was designed and constructed by LGE Design Build.
7. SDB Contracting Services recently completed a year-long project at Lake Pleasant to design and install three solar-powered wind advisory towers and electronic signs. This project will add another layer of safety for the community by communicating high-profile advisories. SDB collaborated with Campbell Scientific on the wind advisory system to complete the project for Maricopa County Parks and Recreation.
8. Developers Glenwood Gorgeous LLC, managed by Kevin Volk and Morgan Abraham, bought the former Glenwood Hotel in Tucson for $1.15M in 2021. The effort to transform the 1908 space into six for-sale residential units has been completed. The finished units range in size from 950SF to 2.4KSF, and five of the six newly opened units have already sold.
