2. Principal Andrew Cheney of Lee & Associates Arizona was recently selected as NAIOP Arizona’s 2018 chairman of the board. He has been a member of NAIOP Arizona since 2003 and served on the board since 2012.

3. Velocity Retail Group is expanding by opening an office at 6061 E. Grant Road in Tucson. The office will be led by Brian Harpel, senior VP and associate broker for the new office. This is the second office for the company.

5. Marcus & Millichap announced Kelly O’Dea has joined the firm’s Phoenix office as a part of the National Office and Industrial Properties Group.
6. Transwestern announced Mark Stratz has joined the firm as senior VP and city leader to oversee all operations in the firm’s Phoenix office. Scott Baumgarten has also joined the firm as a senior VP.

8. Bruce Brooks Pfeiffer, a prolific scholar and former apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright, died on Dec. 31, according to the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. He was in his late 80s.
