Earlier this month, the Lake Havasu City Council approved multiple requests for a planned mixed-use development on Retail Center Blvd. that will feature a publicly accessible fitness facility with a pool, along with 97 housing units.
The letter of intent and project narrative identify the 18-acre location as 40 Retail Centre Blvd., while Council documents say 60 Retail Centre Blvd.
The developer requested rezoning from RMH Manufactured Home District to C2 General Commercial and a General Plan amendment for the subdivided parcel to CMU Commercial Mixed Use.
According to the developer’s investment solicitation materials, “The Barn Caves project in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, offers a unique blend of luxury living and integrated storage solutions. With… contemporary barn-style units, this development caters to residents who seek both elegance and practicality, all within close proximity to the city’s vibrant recreational offerings.”
The site is located just south of The Shops at Lake Havasu retail shopping center.
The gym and pool proposal includes space for outdoor pickleball courts, an outdoor pool with a patio, cabana, showers and bathroom. The gym facility will be on two levels with a 14.8KSF footprint.
The residential units will be detached single-family with two floors of living space atop an RV-capable garage. Floor plans will range from 2.2KSF to 3.3KSF.
The developer is Paradyme Companies. The design firm is Selberg Associates Inc.
