Office condo developer Jim Riggs is proposing a 32-unit, three-building luxury car storage facility on a nearly 3.6-acre site at Bell Road and 91st Street in Scottsdale.
The proposal for Elite Garages Scottsdale requires a rezoning from C-2 PCD to I-1 PCD, which would allow for a vehicle storage facility. The request is currently under review with the City of Scottsdale, but no hearing dates have been set.
A local news outlet reported the project will cost slightly less than $20M to develop and says Riggs is in escrow to buy the vacant site.
If approved and developed, the garage units will be delivered in shell condition in 1.3KSF, 1.5KSF and 1.9KSF sizes. The garages are planned for heights of 24 feet, and an onsite office and clubhouse building will stand at 36 feet with an 800SF footprint, according to the narrative and site plan submitted to the City of Scottsdale.
Users who purchase car condo units will be able to customize their spaces through Garaza Design.
Condo features are planned to include 22-foot clear heights, climate control and overhead doors. All floor plans feature available mezzanines, and owners will have clubhouse access. The clubhouse includes an event space, kitchen, and restroom and shower facilities.
The article says construction is expected to begin this December, with delivery expected late next year. Reservations are currently being accepted.
