Giving Back
1. Three Sundt employee-owners are competing to see who can raise the most money for the Sundt Foundation’s “Ink It & Pink It” 25th anniversary fundraising campaign. The funds raised from Sept. 23-Oct. 10 will be distributed from the Sundt Foundation to nonprofit organizations fighting breast cancer. Sundt Construction will match donations up to $150K. The employee-owners are Danny Gumm, Melissa Moreno and Scott LaPoint.
2. The PENTA CARES Foundation, the charitable arm of The PENTA Building Group raised $65K for local nonprofit Home Base Arizona during its first Charity Golf Classic in Scottsdale.
3. A group of Brycon employees volunteered at Feed My Starving Children. The group packed approximately 3,161 meals that were shipped to the Philippines and Thailand.
Awards & Accolades
4. The Arizona Department of Transportation Office of Communications and Public Involvement has won two top awards from an organization representing state transportation agencies across the country. ADOT took home the honors during the annual TransComm meeting. Rusty Crerand won the Spirit of TransComm while the ADOT Blog won Best Blog.

5. Ashley Hatley was elected to the board of the Mesa i.d.e.a. Museum Foundation. Ashley will work with fellow board members to fundraise, advocate and build partnerships.
Promotions
6. Josh Anderson has been promoted to Vice President of Preconstruction at K2 Electric for their new Preconstruction Division. Anderson was previously the VP of Facility Services.
Company News
7. P.B. Bell is building its first build-to-rent project, Marketside Villas at Verrado in Buckeye. While P.B. Bell has interest in the BTR market, they don’t intend to completely switch to the sector. P.B. Bell has been eyeing the BTR market for a while.
New Hires
8. A.R. Mays hired Mike Diamond as a Business Development Manager. He will be focusing on the Industrial and Office markets.
9. ARCO Construction Company has hired Chris Dockins as a Business Development Manager. Dockins has previously owned and developed multifamily projects in Phoenix.
