Awards & Accolades
1. MC Residential, the property management arm of MC Companies, announced it received the Housing Heroes Awardfrom the Arizona Multifamily Association. Two MC Residential employees also received awards. Kaelyn Dodds was named Leasing Consultant of the Year and Ciara Hufford received the Community Manager of the Year award.
2. The Design-Build Institute of America has announced its 2024 National Design-Build Project/Team Award winners. The University of Arizona’s Applied Research Building was selected under the Educational Facilities category. The design-build firm was McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., with the architect SmithGroup. The project took 21 months to complete.
3. Yavapai County Development Services received a Housing Hero Award from the Arizona Department of Housing for their free home design plan program.
4. Multifamily management and consulting firm Bryten Real Estate Partners has been recognized as a Top Ten Employer by the National Apartment Association. This marks the third consecutive year the group has recognized Bryten as an NAA Top Employer.

5. Richärd Kennedy Architects announced Principal Lee Swanson has been appointed to the American Library Association Core, Building Operations, Planning and Design Committee for a two-year term.

6. Lee & Associates Arizona announced John Esslinger has been promoted to Principal.
New Hires
7. FCL Builders Western Region office announced four new team members. Melissa Pawlawski and Mary Veldkamp join the team as Senior Project Managers. Maycin Miller, who previously interned for FCL, has been hired full-time as a Project Engineer. Mary Burke was also hired at FCL’s Scottsdale office overseeing administrative duties.
