Giving Back

1. The Terracon Foundation recently awarded a $2.3K grant to TMM Family Services in Tucson. The funding will support the TMM Workforce Development Center, which hosts workshops on employment readiness, financial literacy, education and life skills. Since its founding more than 15 years ago, the Terracon Foundation has awarded nearly $5M to community organizations, universities, dependents of employees and disaster relief efforts.

2. Lōkahi recently celebrated its sixth anniversary, highlighting internal growth, new hires and continued investment in team development and community efforts, including a scholarship program.
3. Sunstone Two Tree, a developer and operator of rental housing communities, announced it has opened an office in Phoenix. The new space is in The Promenade office park in north Scottsdale. The space will be occupied by Sunstone Two Tree’s construction and planning teams.

4. Thomas Maynard has been appointed as the Interim CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. Maynard will oversee strategy execution while guiding investor and community engagement as GPEC finishes its executive search process. He stepped into the role on Aug. 2, after the departure of Chris Camacho.
5. The City of Glendale announced Purab Adabala has been promoted to Transportation Director. Adabala will oversee the Transportation Department. He has worked for Glendale for 18 years, having started as a transportation planner. The promotion follows the departure of the previous Director, Ryan Lee.
New Hires
6. CBRE announced James Cohn has returned to the firm’s Phoenix office as Senior VP, specializing in industrial properties across the metro Phoenix area. Cohn spent his past three years with Stream Realty Partners. He brings 12 years of industry experience, representing both industrial landlord and tenant interests, as well as acquisition, disposition and ground-up development.
7. Willmeng Construction announced the appointment of Jason Scott as Project Executive. Scott has 23 years of experience in the industry. In his new role, he will aid the expansion of Willmeng’s presence across new locations, sectors and portfolios.
