    Giving Back

    1. Brycon partnered with the City of Chandler for its Operation Back to School event. Brycon employees donated time and money to equip and assemble 100 backpacks filled with school supplies.

    2. Valley Partnership selected Sojourner Center as the beneficiary of the 2024 Community Project. Each year, Valley Partnership chooses a non-profit organization to provide facility improvements.

    Awards & Accolades

    3. Bob Mulhern of Colliers Arizona was re-elected as Chairman of GreatHearts Arizona School Governing Board. GreatHearts Arizona has 25 tuition-free public charter schools spread throughout the Valley.

    4. DCS Contracting, Inc. congratulated Eleuterio Maldonado for his 30 years of service with the company. Hired in 1994 as a laborer/grade checker, Maldonado now oversees all field operations with more than 10 direct reports.

    5. Arizona was named the recipient of the Gold Shovel Award by Area Development magazine, its fourth consecutive award. In total, Arizona has received six Gold Shovels and six Silver Shovels since 2007.

    6. Orcutt |Winslow announced it received the Community Impact Award from School Connect.

    7. Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke has been elected to serve as Chair of the Maricopa Association of Governments Regional Council. Hartke replaces Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego in the role.

    8. Orcutt | Winslow announced it has provided internships to several applicants in Arizona. These include Elissa Fimbres, Kennedy Wiedeman, Molood Tahmasebi, Ellie Lagergren, Kobe Voss, Jeremy Johnson and Michael Pifer.

    Promotions

    9. Daniel Johnson has been promoted to Manager – Construction Services Group in Colliers Engineering & Design’s Phoenix office (formerly HILGARTWILSON). He previously managed the Water/Wastewater Infrastructure team overseeing heavy civil projects.

    New Hires

    10. Mynessia Cook has joined Corporate Interior Systems as the firm’s new VP of Innovation.

    11. Colliers Engineering & Design announced it has hired David Garcia as the Senior Client Manager in the firm’s Phoenix office (formerly HILGARTWILSON). Garcia has more than 30 years of experience in real estate, land acquisition, development, and planning.

    12. Sundt Construction recently hired Anastacio “Junior” Madrigal as Regional Equipment Manager for its western regions.

    13. Orcutt | Winslow announced several new additions to its team in Arizona. New hires include Carlos Naranjo, Ana Mendez Gaxiola, Brad Nelson, Katie Gordon and Oliver Romo. Job titles and duties were not provided.

    14. Jakob Lasiewicki has joined Davis Commercial AZ as a licensed commercial agent.

    Departures & Retirements

    15. Andy Lombard and Arizona Venture Development Corp. have confirmed Lombard is no longer with the firm. Lombard was the company’s CEO and Founding President. No additional details were available.

    16. William Fehrman will leave his position as President and CEO of Centuri Holdings, Inc. on July 31. Fehrman has accepted the CEO position at American Electric Power in Columbus, Ohio.

    17. Orcutt | Winslow announced that Principal John Cantrell has retired after 35 years of service to the company.
