Giving Back

1. The Salt River Project and Fiesta Sports Foundation partnered to develop a new sport court and playground at Family Promise’s Legacy Village housing development in Glendale. The playground and sport court total 1.7KSF and feature an adjustable basketball hoop.
2. On Friday, May 2, Lōkahi Traffic Engineering and Lōkahi Teams held a Hawaiian-themed dinner celebration to award the 10 recipients of its annual scholarship. The Lōkahi Traffic Engineering Scholarship recipients were:
- Aleana Sanchez, Arizona State University;
- Alexis Grondin, University of Miami;
- Delaney Duffalo, University of Missouri;
- Noah Brown, Arizona State University;
- Olivia Rubin, Arizona State University, and
- Phil Ni, Purdue University.
The Lōkahi Teams Scholarship recipients were:
- Abbey Fox, Northern Arizona University;
- Jaycob Humbel, Pima Community College;
- Kennedy Thompson, University of Arizona, and
- Sereniti Johnson, Southern University and A&M College.
3. A group of Achen-Gardner Construction’s employee-owners and friends participated in the AGC Golf Tournament on May 2 at the Talking Stick Golf Club.

4. Clayco has announced key national leadership promotions. Ryan McGuire has been promoted to President, Construction, and will continue to lead Clayco Compute. Ryan Abbott, President of Clayco’s Southwest Region, will take on additional national leadership responsibilities across several markets. Conor Tighe has been promoted to VP of Preconstruction and Procurement Strategy. These moves follow the recent promotion of Mike Pierle to COO of the Construction business.
5. McGough Adamson Group has rebranded as the Adamson Group. The Mesa firm specializes in landscape architecture, irrigation design, land planning and native plant inventory.

6. Lance Webb has been appointed as the new City Engineer for the City of Mesa. Webb originally joined Mesa’s Engineering Department in 2012 and has been serving as the Assistant City Engineer since 2022.
7. Cushman & Wakefield, PICOR announced Mark Isenberger has been promoted to General Manager of 5151 E. Broadway Blvd. Isenberger previously served as the Property Manager for the office building.
New Hires

8. Colliers announced the addition of Scott Scharlach to its industrial capital markets practice in Phoenix. Focused on investment sales and joint-venture equity raises across the Western United States, Scharlach joins Colliers from Newmark as a Senior VP and Partner on the Western Region Industrial Capital Markets Team.
9. Clayco welcomed Hal Weise as its new Project Director. Weise has more than 20 years of experience in design-build construction with a focus on the cold storage and food industry. In his new position, he will lead project teams and deliver complex industrial facilities.
Departures
10. Joshua Wright, former City Manager for the City of Chandler, officially resigned from his position. His resignation comes shortly after a meeting with City Council regarding issues with his contract. He has been the City Manager since March 2021 and was on a two-year contract that was scheduled to sunset in July 2026. Wright has accepted a position at the University of Arizona.
