    Awards & Accolades 

    1. Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR was named among the top-producing Tucson leasing and top Tucson sales firms in the annual CoStar Power Broker Awards. At the individual recognition level, CoStar recognizes the top five professionals in each market sector. C&W | PICOR’s winners were: 

    • Top Industrial Leasing Brokers: Jesse Blum, Stephen Cohen, Robert Glaser and Paul Hooker; 
    • Top Office Leasing Brokers: Rick Kleiner and Thomas Nieman; 
    • Top Retail Leasing Brokers: Greg Furrier, Dave Hammack and Aaron LaPrise;

    2. The Arizona Masonry Council recently bestowed journeymen cards to the next generation of masons. The Class of 2022 and their sponsors were:

Martinez was honored as Instructor of the Year. 

    3. Arizona Masonry Council members swept the Top 3 spots at the Fastest Trowel on the Block competition held at the Las Vegas Convention Center during World of Concrete/World of Masonry. The winners: 

    1. Gerardo Patlan;  
    1. Roberto Cimental;  
    1. Noe Martinez. 

    AMC also had a local Fastest Trowel on the Block event for its high school students. The Top 3 winners were: 

    1. Caleb Peterson, Tucson Canyon Del Oro High School;  
    1. Jordan Michael, West MEC Verrado; and  
    1. Octavio Tello, West MEC Verrado.

    5. Wood, Patel, & Associates, Inc. announced the acquisition of Geomatics Consulting Group, Inc. GCG has been a leader in advanced surveying and mapping services for more than a decade. 

    New Hires 

    6. Former Phoenix City Manager Ed Zuercher has been chosen to serve as the new Executive Director of the Maricopa Association of Governments. Zuercher’s term begins March 6.  

    7. Chad Russell and Randolph Titzck have joined Kidder Mathews’ Phoenix office as Senior VPs. 

    8. TEPCON Construction, Inc. has hired Jimi Holt to serve as the company’s Construction Executive.  

    9. Ashley Welavert has joined Pueblo Mechanical & Controls as Chief Legal Officer.  

    10. W.E. O’Neil Construction recently announced four new hires. Dennis Seidel has joined as Superintendent. Kimmy Williams has been hired as Project Manager, and Cole Graham and Landon Terriquez have come on as Field Engineers. 

    11. Debra A. Miller has been hired at Lucas Construction to serve as Project Manager. 

    12. Law firm Sherman & Howard has hired attorney Tyler Godbehere to serve in its Business and Real Estate group. 

    13. Rex Eberly has joined ViaSun Corporation as a Training Specialist.
