Expiring Aid Could Create Eviction Explosionย
An end to aid for renters could lead to a spike in evictions for Arizona renters.ย Maricopa Countyย has run out of funds in its $30M rental aid program. Theย Centers for Disease Control and Preventionโs eviction ban is set to expire. A new federal stimulus and relief package has yet to pass. Gov.ย Doug Duceyย has moved the remaining $400M inย CARES Actย funds to state agencies for operating expenses.
