BEX Gears up to Expand Outside of Ariz.

    By Rebekah Morris for AZBEX

    (Phone rings.)

“Hello, this is Rebekah with AZBEX.”

“Hey, yeah, I’m so-and-so with company such-and-such. I’m looking for you guys in ___ but I can’t find it. Where is this service for my state?”

This sort of interaction has happened countless times over the 14-plus years BEX has been in business. It has always been a dream of mine to expand, and the time is finally right for this next phase of BEX. We’ve dubbed it The BEXpansion.

    How You Fit In

We have been planning this for a long time and no matter how many ways we approach the concept of expansion, it starts with our current subscribers.

We want to hear your thoughts first. From a business perspective, it makes the most sense for our initial expansion to go where our current clients want us most. From a personal perspective, I treasure all the advice and well wishes I have received throughout the years and deeply value others’ thoughts and input on our business model.

We invite you to complete a simple Google Docs survey here and let us know where our expansion would most benefit your business. We expect this survey to remain open until at least the end of August.

    Methodical and Slow

While we cannot wait to launch into a new state, we will go somewhat more slowly than most would probably wish. The twice-weekly digital magazine will come first, then in-person events and, finally, DATABEX. We anticipate launching the digital magazine in the new state before the end of 2024.

We are very cognizant of the risks of expanding too fast and losing the quality you have all come to know and depend on. We will most likely enter a smaller market first (California and Texas are highly unlikely to be our ‘first’ BEXpansion) and learn all the ins and outs of entering a new market. Once we have all our internal processes figured out, we will continue to expand state by state.

We look forward to reading all your comments and thoughts. Let’s go!
