In its Sept. 22 meeting, the Mesa City Council unanimously approved a rezoning for the proposed 137-unit attached townhome development called Velora.
The council approved rezoning a 3.3-acre parcel and a 3.7-acre parcel to form a planned-area development overlay for the multifamily development.
Dolly Varden LLC is the owner. The site is located 1,600 feet west of the NWC of East Main Street and North Greenfield Road.
The development will feature 95 three-story and 42 two-story units with attached two-car garages. Each unit will contain three bedrooms and two full bathrooms.
The units will contain 274 parking spaces, and the site will contain an additional 27 uncovered parking spaces for guests. Some residents had concerns regarding increased traffic on Main Street. (Source)
