Stream Data Centers plans to begin the next phase of its multi-phase development in Goodyear.
Stream Data Centers Phoenix 2 has earned its first approvals from the City of Goodyear to develop an approximately 400KSF, two-story data center facility on 21.68 acres of its campus on Litchfield Road near Phoenix Goodyear Airport.
The initial component—Stream Data Centers Phoenix 1—was completed in 2020.
The Goodyear Planning Commission has recommended approval of a change to the existing light industrial zoning to add a planned area development. A site plan was also approved recently, according to project documents.
Like many modern data centers, the project will feature a closed-loop cooling system that uses far less water than traditional cooling methods. (Source)
(AZBEX NOTE: Stream Data Center’s total development plan consists of six phases and a projected total investment of approximately $1.5B.)
