Plans for a 152.3KSF retail plaza anchored by a 123KSF Fry’s Marketplace advanced last week with a recommendation for site plan approval from the Buckeye Planning and Zoning Commission.
The location at Miller and Broadway roads will feature a fuel center with a kiosk, three 6KSF retail buildings and three quick-service drive-thru restaurants on an 18.11-acre site, according to the submitted narrative.
Construction for the grocery store and fuel center is planned in a single phase. The remaining spaces will be built as market demands warrant.
Media reports note that off-site improvements include half-street construction for both Broadway and Miller roads and a traffic signal at the intersection, among others.
According to the project narrative, the owner is Forestar (USA) Real Estate Group, Inc. Barclay Group is the developer. The project applicant was Sustainability Engineering Group (SEG). Landscape planning is by Harrington Planning + Design, and Lokahi Group is the traffic engineer. The site plan and elevations submitted for the grocery and fuel center show CR Architecture + Design is the architect.
