    HonorHealth to Build on Former Amkor Site in Vistancia

    With Amkor Technology Inc. having moved its planned Peoria site from 56 acres in FIVE NORTH at Vistancia to a larger property in the Peoria Innovation Core, Peoria City Council has approved a development agreement that will let HonorHealth build a medical district on the Vistancia site.

    Under the agreement, HonorHealth will build an eight-acre medical district with an array of services, including primary, urgent and concierge care, along with other offerings, on part of the former Amkor site. HonorHealth also has options on another eight-acre parcel should future demand warrant it.

    Vistancia representatives said the HonorHealth agreement could eventually evolve into a potential hospital development if the healthcare provider sees a need.

    HonorHealth officials said they welcome the opportunity to expand service offerings in Peoria. (Source)
