Giving Back

1. Wespac Construction Inc. has launched Wespac Charities, a philanthropic initiative supporting smaller nonprofit organizations through funding, volunteer opportunities and community initiatives. The program has a goal to donate $1M annually.
2. The Arcadian, a luxury townhome community at 32nd Street and Indian School in Phoenix, has joined the Arizona Housing Fund as a fundraising partner. Developer Geneva Holdings will donate $100 to the Fund for every home sold. The Arizona Housing Fund supports nonprofit housing projects that provide permanent, supportive housing for Arizonans experiencing homelessness.
3. The Opus Foundation recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. The Foundation was formed to serve the local community through philanthropy. Over the course of the last 25 years, the foundation has invested more than $68M in 840 organizations.
4. Valley Partnership is currently accepting applications for the 2026 Community Project. Each year, Valley Partnership selects a charitable nonprofit organization to provide facility enhancements. Over the past 38 years, Valley Partnership’s projects have raised, designed and constructed more than $6.5M in enhancements across the Valley.

5. James Redland has returned to Arizona to lead the expansion of the Phoenix regional office for High Street Logistics Properties LLC. As Regional Leader of the West Region, Redland oversees acquisitions, leasing and development across the Phoenix and Southern California markets. He joined the company in 2018 after a 19-year tenure with First Industrial Realty Trust and has more than 25 years of experience in industrial real estate.
New Hires
6. Melissa Pesci has been appointed CEO of national design firm Boulder Associates. With nearly 20 years of design industry experience, Pesci will oversee the company’s nationwide expansion efforts and strategy.
7. Cooper Curry has joined VLMK Engineering + Design as a Structural Engineer. Curry has nearly three years of experience in power-sector design and previously worked in Burns & McDonnell’s Power group, where he supported structural foundation and equipment support design for power generation projects serving Arizona Public Service.
8. Christopher Itule has been appointed Arizona Director of Acquisitions & Asset Management at AHC Funds. In his new role, Itule will oversee portfolio management and acquisitions across the firm’s Arizona holdings, which include approximately 900 units across six locations. He will also continue working with DSW Commercial Real Estate on the La Vida Build-to-Rent townhome development in Tucson.
