Maricopa resident William Jones has submitted a pre-application to the City of Maricopa for the Maricopa Community Assisted Living Center, a 20KSF, 40-resident assisted living home focused on senior care and housing at Wild Horse Trail and White-and-Parker Road.
The plan features 40 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom; on-site therapy services; a cafeteria; a laundry center and a beauty salon.
Recent studies, including research from area economic analysis firm Elliott D. Pollack & Company, show senior facilities are an underserved market in Maricopa. Pollack’s study recommended more senior-focused housing, including independent residential and assisted living and memory care.
Maricopa has few significant senior-focused options, and most assisted living facilities in the area are small-scale operations in single-family homes.
According to the pre-application project narrative, “The lack of accessible, high quality living options in our community has left many families with limited choices for their loved ones. This gap creates emotional, physical and financial challenges for both seniors and their families.” (Source)
