The International School of Arizona is holding a fundraiser the evening of Aug. 28 for its planned $10M new gym and renovation project.
The renovation will be done to the third floor of the existing building at 9522 E. San Salvador Dr. in Scottsdale. The school provides a language immersion curriculum in both French and Spanish. The fundraiser will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The International School is the owner and developer. SPS+ Architects is the design firm. A general contractor has yet to be selected at the time of writing.
The school currently uses a room on the third floor as its physical activity room. The room has a low ceiling that is not ideal for physical education. The renovation will turn the current physical education space into several classrooms.

The $10M project will be split across two phases. The gym and park will be constructed in the first phase, while the second phase will center around the renovation.
The school plans to break ground in January 2027. Once the gym is completed, the school will be able to provide basketball and volleyball programs.
