The Pinal County Board of Supervisors approved four solar farm projects with major amendments to the Pinal County Comprehensive Plan at its meeting November 17th.
The projects consist of:
- Box Canyon Solar, a 300MW development by BrightNight,
- Arizona City Solar, a 275MW project from Silver Creek Energy,
- Eloy Valley Solar, NextEra Energy’s 350MW solar farm, and
- Sonak Solar, a 275MW proposal from Enel Green Power.
The project sites lie in mostly in residential zones and will now have to seek rezoning. (Source)
