The Buckeye City Council has approved a rezoning for Avilla Marigold, a 214-unit Build-to-Rent development planned by NexMetro Communities on 19.4 acres on the SWC of Jackrabbit Trail and Thomas Road.
The requested rezoning changes the site from single-family residential to multifamily.
The plan received a degree of neighborhood opposition, including concerns about water use, traffic and damage to neighborhood character, among others.
NexMetro reported they have acquired assurance of a 100-year water supply and intend to address road issues affecting the community’s planned development around two-lane roads.
NexMetro communities is the developer. The architect is BSB Design Inc. Atwell is the engineer, and McGough Adamson is the landscape architect. The project is represented by Burch & Cracchiolo, P.A.
