According to local news reports, the latest proposal for Mercado Village features 255 multifamily units, 13KSF of coworking space and on-site live/work units. By Associated Builders and Contractors Construction input prices decreased 0.9% in May compared to the previous month, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Producer Price Index data. Nonresidential construction input prices decreased 0.8% for the month. Overall construction input prices are 2.1% higher than a year ago, while nonresidential construction input prices are 2.2% higher. Prices decreased in two of the three energy subcategories last month. Crude petroleum prices were down 8.7%, while unprocessed energy materials prices decreased 6.6%. Following a contentious bidding war, 521.6 acres of land in Flagstaff went for $17.5M in an Arizona State Land Department auction earlier this month. The property is situated south of Interstate 40 west of University Heights and surrounds the Equestrian Estates community. The minimum bid for the site was $11.38M. After four bidders presented a total of 27 bids, Scott Roberts of Roberts Communities, Roberts Resorts and Ascent Real Estate Holdings came out on top. Consultant J2 Engineering and Environmental Design recently delivered its feasibility study for a sports complex under consideration along Interstate 10 between Dysart Road and Bullard Avenue. The findings were then discussed by Goodyear City Council and Parks and Recreation officials. Goodyear obtained the 129-acre property from Maricopa County in 2016 with the condition that it use the site for recreational purposes and maintain the location’s flood control function. As originally reported by AZBEX last July, the initial plan by High Street Residential for the 8.5-acre site at Shea Blvd. and Scottsdale Road was to redevelop a retail lot into a 239-unit multifamily community. That plan was subsequently revised downward to 196 units, and the development was renamed from Sundown Commons to Cosanti Commons. DQD Demolition and Saw Cutting has announced several changes to its leadership lineup, triggered by the impending retirement of Founder and President Richard Dickens at the end of 2024. Dickens will take on a new role as Executive Chairman of the Board and will continue as a shareholder.
